5 reasons you need to take your own photos

Everyone has a their own view on photography, and as it becomes easier and easier to access the technology on our phones. It feels like, there’s a much smaller gap between the hobbyists and the professionals. So for those of you who are on the fence between buying your photography and take your own photo. I wanted to share a few reasons you might not have thought about.

A photographers job is to document and communicate moments of time and express a story.

Photography is the most accessible art form out there, and whether you think it or not. You taking control about what you photograph and how you photograph it, is a form of self expression, and is especially important for creators. No one will ever be able to portray your creation better than you.

Don’t forget – no one else sees the world the way you do, so no one else can tell the stories that you have to tell.

It’s a great de-stressor and my go to coping mechanism when life let’s too intense. Seriously, try it. The more you do it, the more you want to do it.

I love decoding how a photographer has achieved a particular look or feel to a photo. It inspires me to explore alternative methods of achieving it.
