How to make a video with photos and music?

You’ve got some great photos, but you’re not sure how to turn them into a video that will capture attention and engage your social media followers. We all know we need to create video content, but without the right tools, turning your photos into a video can be difficult and time consuming. Don’t stress, in this post we go through each step so you can create professional-quality videos that your audience will engage them.

What is a photo video?

A photo video is a short video that is made up of images, music, and text. They are often used to tell a story or create a mood. Photo videos can be used for businesses, social media, anniversaries, and more.

What do you need to make a photo video?

To make a photo video, you will need:

  • – images: these can be photos, illustrations, or even videos
  • – music: choose a song that fits the mood of your video
  • – text: add captions or titles to your video
  • – a video editing program: we recommend using Adobe Rush / Express or Canva

Now that you know what you need, let’s get started!

Step One: Decide the goal of your video

Before you can create your photo video, you need to decide what story you’re trying to tell. This will help you choose the right images and music, as well as determine the duration of your video.

Ask yourself what you want to achieve with your video.

Do you want to tell a personal story? Promote a product? or simply showcase your work?

Once you know what story you want to tell, you can start planning how to best tell it. And finally, determine how long your video should be. A photo video is a powerful way to communicate a message, so make sure to take the time to plan it out before you start shooting. With a little thought and preparation, you can create a photo video that is sure to engage and inspire your audience.

Remember you can choose from:

  • Videos with pictures
  • Video slideshow with music
  • Video Tutorials

Step Two: Choose your images

Now that you know what story you’re trying to tell, it’s time to choose your images. Start by selecting around 30 photos that tell your story. Remember Canva has a collection of over 60 million stock images and video clips so you’re sure to find the perfect photo for your video. Once you have your images, it’s time to organise them into a sequence.

Step Three: Edit Your Video

There are a lot of factors to consider when choosing a video editor or app. Ease of use is definitely one of the most important. If the interface is too complicated or overwhelming, you’re likely to give up before you even get started. Another important consideration is the range of video editing features and tools available. If you’re just starting out, you may not need all the bells and whistles like Adobe Rush or even Canva. But as you become more experienced, you’ll want an editor with more advanced capabilities like Adobe Premiere Pro. Price is also a factor, although there are some great free options available. Ultimately, the most important thing is to find an editor that suits your needs and makes the video editing process as painless as possible.Choose the right photo video maker app or video editor that you’re comfortable with.

Step Four: Add music

Adding royalty free music to your video is what will really set the mood and help tell your story. Choose a song from your music library that fits the feel of your video, and make sure to add it in before you start editing. Step Five: Optimise your video

Once you have your images and music, it’s time to add captions or titles to your video. We recommend using a sans serif font so that it is easy to read. Adding captions to your video is a great way to make sure your audience understands what is going on, even if they can’t hear the audio.

You’ll also want to add video transition effects to keep your audience engaged.

Step Six: exporting and sharing your video

Once you’re happy with your video, it’s time to export it so you can share it with the world! Most video editing software will have an “export” button that you can hit when you’re ready.

There are a few things to keep in mind when you’re exporting your video. First, think about the quality you want. If you’re planning on sharing it online, you might want to export it as an HD video. Second, think about the file size. If you’re planning on emailing your video or sharing it on social media, you’ll want to make sure it’s not too big.

Now that you know how to make a video with photos and music, it’s time to get started! With a little preparation and thought, you can create an engaging and inspiring photo video that will grab your audience’s attention. So what are you waiting for? Get creative and start shooting!
